On Thursday night, Speaker Paul Ryan displayed some of his comedic skills at the annual Al Smith dinner in New York — which annually features the country’s most prominent politicians trying their hand at stand-up.

“Enough of the applause” Ryan began. “You sound like the cabinet when [President] Donald Trump walks in the room.”

Ryan told the crowd that he hasn’t seen this many “New York liberals” and “Wall Street CEOs” in one room since his “last visit to the White House.”
