Conway: Trump ‘Is Committed to Meaningful Consequential Healthcare Reform’

‘It’s a moral imperative’

EXCERPT:

CONWAY: "Remember, this President is committed to meaningful consequential healthcare reform. He promised it. It’s a moral imperative. Just because Congress didn’t put it on his desk doesn’t mean he’s not still fighting for it. In fact, just last week he signed a healthcare executive order here in the Roosevelt Room that would help people pull together to share the risk and share the cost if, unlike you and me, they don’t receive employer sponsored benefits or government sponsored benefits through Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, for example. That’s going to help part of the 28 million who have been completely shut out because of ObamaCare, lied to by the last president that they can keep their plan, keep their doctor. That was a lie. These people are starting to get relief outside the legislative process. The President’s made it clear, he’s willing to work in a bipartisan fashion on these big issues like healthcare, tax reform, infrastructure, immigration reform. But he also is not here — he’s here to help Americans, not help bail out insurance companies. So anything that smacks and smells of that, he is not for. You put repeal and replace on his desk, he will sign it."
