On Tuesday evening, it was reported that President Donald Trumpfinally called the families of the soldiers who were killed in action in Niger earlier this month. And in his call to the pregnant widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, the president told her that her husband “knew what he signed up for.”

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) was with Myeshia Johnson when she received the call from POTUS as the two of them were traveling to the airport together to receive the remains of Sgt. Johnson. The congresswoman spoke to CNN’s Don Lemon about the phone call and Ms. Johnson’s reaction to it.
