Mulvaney on the Removal of Subsidies: These Are Bad Policies and the ‘Payments Are Not Appropriate’

MULVANEY: “The point of the matter, though, is it seems like the Democrats were not very concerned about premiums going up when they went up because of ObamaCare in the first place. They weren't very concerned about bare counties back when we had them. These payments are payments to insurance companies. I cannot believe that Nancy Pelosi was just on your screen there defending bailout payments to large corporations. Typically the Democrats are against that. It's sort of like the shoe is on the other foot here. The bottom Lionel is these are bad policy and the payments are not appropriate.”
