Gov. Pat Quinn Met with Silence After Introduction by Little League Team

‘Make some noise! Everybody say, “Hey, Pat!”’

Even Chicago’s Championship Little League Team Hates Gov. Pat Quinn (Washington Free Beacon)

Chicago’s championship Little League team greeted Illinois Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn with awkward silence, despite the best efforts of an enthusiastic emcee to rustle up some applause.

After several urgings of, “Please give it up for our governor, Pat Quinn! Make some noise! Everybody say ‘Hey Pat!’” a few audience members offered up one or two half-hearted claps.

Quinn had no better luck. He attempted to lead the crowd in a chant of their team initials: “J-R-W! J-R-W! J-R-W!”

Nobody joined in.
