Fox News: U.S. and Turkey Suspend New Visa Applications Between the Two Countries

EDSON: "The United States announced it is suspending new Visa applications for Turkish citizens looking the travel to the United States. Turkey then responded and said it would do the same for Americans traveling to Turkey. This is after last week Turkish authorities arrested an employee of the U.S. Consulate in Turkey, a Turkish citizen and after almost a year — longer than a year of arrests in connection with that failed coup attempt in Turkey last year. The statement this arrest has raised questions whether the goal of some officials is to disrupt the longstanding cooperation between Turkey and the United States. It would put the people who work at and visit our diplomatic facilities at risk. Relations between the countries have deteriorated substantially."
