‘A very short statement’

EXCERPT:

BLITZER: "This just in. Hillary Clinton is now responding to the sexual harassment scandal involving the movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. She said in a very short statement, I'll put it up on the screen, 'I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical to stop this kind of behavior. Joining us now, our politics reporter, editor-at-large Chris Cillizza. Chris, it took her a while --"
CILLIZZA: "Yeah."
BLITZER: "-- to issue this statement, a very short statement. Nothing in the statement about what other Democratic candidates have done started to donate contributions, political contributions they received to various charities."
CILLIZZA: "Right. By the way of context 'The New York Times' wrote this initial Harvey Weinstein story on October the 5th. He was fired by the board of a Weinstein corpotation -- company on October 8th. So this is -- she is a little bit late arriving to this. And as you point out unlike many Democrats and democratic organization who  receive money from Harvey Weinstein, he is a large donor to democratic causes, there's no mention here for returning her money."
