Rep. Barbara Lee: Congress Should Take a Vote on Whether or Not To Attack ISIS

‘We need to be in Washington, D.C., talking about the pros and cons’

LEE: “I think we absolutely should have a vote, and I think we should have it sooner rather than later. We passed actually a resolution indicating that if there were any further expansion in Iraq, we thought that Congress should be involved as it relates to a debate and a vote ... This is serious. ISIS is a threat. It’s a dangerous organization. It’s a terrorist organization. We need to be in Washington, D.C. talking about the pros and cons, talking about what options are available for the president. And, in fact, I think that it’s absolutely essential that Congress engage in a debate on this very important issue.”
