Fmr. Puerto Rico Governor: We Need Results, We Shouldn’t Be Talking About Politics

FORTUNO: "I have no -- I have no idea. All I can tell you is we need results. We have people that need -- desperately need help. And as long as we get that help, you know, we should not be talking about politics at this moment. I -- I -- I’ve been helping and bringing up people that are ill, that need medical attention, that they will not be able to get it in Puerto Rico at this moment."
BRZEZINSKI: "Yeah."
FORTUNO: "We’re talking about American citizens. That's what we should be talking about."
BRZEZINSKI: "So, are they getting the results that are so desperately needed? Let’s talk about that then."
FORTUNO: "Sure. Well, since General Buchanan got to Puerto Rico, the three-star general that was sent down, all I hear and -- and I see is that indeed things are starting to move in the right direction. And his leadership has been key here, has been going up to the mountains where it’s more difficult to get to and where -- actually there’s simply no power and no water, no medical attention. So, I -- what I hear is that since he got there, things are starting to move in the right direction, but the devastation is so vast, that this will take weeks if not months to even get to a point where people have access to basic services."
