O’Reilly: African-American Protestors ‘Don’t Have The Right to Say Someone’s Guilty’ (Mediaite)

Sandwiched between Bob Beckel and James Carville, Bill O’Reilly questioned tonight whether the African-American protestors in Ferguson had the right to claim Officer Darren Wilson “murdered” Michael Brown.

“I think what they’re hearing in the media is distorting their reality,” he said, to the immediate protests of his two guests trying to convince him that African-Americans are disproportionately targeted by the criminal justice system. “But what if they’re protesting something that isn’t true?”

“Look, any American has the right to distort any fact that they want to,” Carville said. “You can say anything you want in this country. ”

“They don’t have the right to say someone’s guilty when they don’t know the facts!” O’Reilly shot back. “That’s defamantion!”
