John Kerry Suggests Biggest Issue Facing Ukraine Is ‘Corruption,’ Not Russia

‘They really have their destiny in their own hands’


SCARBOROUGH: “So, you just got back from Ukraine. We’re going to get to the U.N. speech in a second. But you just got from -- got back from Ukraine. What can you tell us about -- about the state of affairs there and --”
KERRY: “Well they’re in a critical -- they're in the critical place. They’ve got to make fundamental decisions about corruption, getting rid of it. They need to attract private investment. The government has to show that it’s serious.”
