Hannity Tells O’Reilly He Regrets They Were ‘At Each Other’s Throats a Little Too Much’ at Fox News (Mediaite)

When Bill O’Reilly called into Sean Hannity‘s show this afternoon, one of the issues they addressed was the relationship they had while at Fox News.

The interview today was cordial and they both agreed that there’s an attempt in the liberal media to silence and discredit conservative voices. At one point, Hannity asked O’Reilly if he would consider coming back to Fox News.

But Hannity also brought up how the two of them were “competitive” when O’Reilly was still at Fox News.

After a 2011 report said he “hates” Hannity, O’Reilly half-jokingly said, “That’s absolutely true. But I hate everybody.” Hannity reacted days later to those comments, saying at one point they “never see each other.”

Hannity acknowledged the same today, also saying they were “at each other’s throats” a little.

But he revealed the two of them have talked since O’Reilly left Fox and added, “We realized I think that in many ways it was probably a mistake on both our parts to think that you were isolated on an island and I was isolated on an island.”

He said part of that has to do with how the liberal media “isolates” individuals in the conservative media and goes after them one-by-one.

Towards the end of the segment, Hannity said, “I do have a regret. I think we were at each other’s throats a little too much.” O’Reilly said the whole thing was “overdone” because they didn’t see each other that much.

Hannity asked him if he regrets “not being nicer” to him. They had a light-hearted back and forth on this that ended with the revelation they once went to a concert together.
