MSNBC: ISIS Has Lost 90% of Territory in Iraq and 85% in Syria

BRZEZINSKI: “And there is this piece of news this morning on ISIS. The Islamic State group is reportedly on its last leg when it comes to its control of parts of the Middle East. According to the economist, the group has lost 90 percent of its territory in Iraq and 85 percent of its territory in Syria and that Syrian government forces, backed by Iranian militias and Russian air strikes broke through ISIS’ defenses in a key city in the eastern part of the country earlier this month. The magazine reports that Syrian president Bashar al-Assad's forces are preparing an assault to retake that city ending the group's control over their last urban stronghold.”
