Tucker Carlson Presses Charles Ellison: Storms Have Nothing To Do with Race

‘Where is the #BlackLivesMatter in this?’

RUSH EXCERPT:
ELLISON: “And 30 percent of the population lives under the verty line. And many are black and la10o and many caucasians rent. And we shouldn’t just uniquely favor certain demographics. But we should recognize that there are serious issues of race and class we have to tackle when we respond to these types of disasters.”

CARLSON: “Again, part of what you said is a fair question. I don’t think it is — why incued race. Storms in nothing to do with race. It is a multiracial. And brings out the best in a lot of the ways of people and it seemed pointless to add the racial angle.”

ELLISON: “I appreciate that point. Not necessarily pointless. I think it is responsible and practicing nattic and practical to raise that point. It just so happens when you are dealing with homeowners versus renters or the middle-class or wealthy in an impact zone versus the poor. A disporportionate amount of the poor and so happened to be black or Latino or black and brown. It is it not’s singling out. But saying race should take priority over disaster preparedness or recovery or the concerns of homeowners and renters and whatever. It should be recognized as a fact and you are right, Tucker."
