Lawrence O’Donnell Thinks Don Jr. Would Fold in Public Testimony: This Isn’t ‘Sean Hannity’ (Mediaite)

Donald Trump Jr. met behind closed doors with Senate investigatorsThursday in the Russia probe. After the hearing, Democratic Senators called for President Donald Trump‘s son to testify in an open session.

Lawrence O’Donnell believes there is a reason.

“[W]hen senators say they really want to hear from someone in public, it is because they believe there will be something communicated by this witness in more than just the words the witness says,” O’Donnell said Thursday night on The Last Word

O’Donnell referenced Don Jr.’s cozy July chat with Sean Hannity, and suggested that a full Senate panel is much more likely to break him.

“Big difference between this and being on Sean Hannity,” O’Donnell said. “And these are the moments that not everyone’s ready for to put it mildly. I’m sure you’ve seen witnesses at the Judiciary Committee at different times who don’t really understand how they have to present themselves in situations like this.”
