Lou Dobbs: Trump ‘Took RINO Ryan to the Woodshed’ By Making Debt Ceiling Deal with Dems

‘Here’s a clueless Ryan, just this morning, talking about a proposal from Democrats tying Harvey funding to the debt ceiling’

Lou Dobbs: Trump ‘Took RINO Ryan to the Woodshed’ By Making Debt Ceiling Deal with Dems (Mediaite)

Earlier today, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan heavily criticized Congressional Democrats for only wanting a three-month increase in the debt ceiling and a short-term spending resolution. Speaking to reporters, he called it a “ridiculous idea,” claiming that they were playing politics with the debt ceiling following one devastating hurricane and another one looming.

And then President Donald Trump sided with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, something Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell lamented this afternoonshortly after leaving a budget meeting with the president.

One of Trump’s most loyal defenders in the media, Fox Business’s Lou Dobbs, absolutely had a field day with the news that the president cut a deal with Democrats and left Ryan holding the bag. While Dobbs is definitely no fan of Democrats or liberals, he obviously HATES the Speaker of the House, and he essentially danced on Ryan’s grave during a monologue this evening.

Gloating that he had some thoughts “on the death of a RINO,” Dobbs pointed out he was talking about Ryan and the lawmaker’s “obsequious deference to corporate lobbyists and unbridled hostility towards President Trump.”

He added, “President Trump not only took RINO Ryan to the woodshed, but eliminated any need for any Republican to pretend that Ryan is a real Republican or that any RINO has a political future after Mr. Trump simply booted the hapless fool out of the way of those trying to do the nation’s business.”

After recapping how Ryan slammed the Democrat proposal just hours before Trump agreed to it, Dobbs then said Democrats have been “far more conciliatory in their rhetoric” in the past few weeks towards Trump.

The conservative host concluded that Ryan has been “fully exposed” and that he has accomplished “next to nothing” as Speaker of the House.
