Cheney: Obama’s Policies ‘Cripple’ Us; He Can’t Blame Bush Anymore (Mediaite)

Former Vice President Dick Cheney continued his streak of bashing President Barack Obama this weekend by suggesting the current administration’s policies will “cripple” the United States for years to come.

Appearing on AM 970′s Cats Roundtable, Cheney told host John Catsimatidis that he believes this president is “gutting” the military. “They’re dramatically cutting back the defense budget, year after year after year,” he said.

He continued: “That’s a terrible precedent to set because it’s going to cripple us in future years. When you make decisions about the defense budget, and especially when you’re cutting back on it, you are crippling your successors as president.”

Those remarks came after Cheney listed off all the “bad situations” for the Obama administration, including the Internal Revenue Service and Veterans Affairs scandals. “They can’t blame George Bush anymore,” the former VP remarked.
