The Daily Show: Why Can’t the NFL Give Lifetime Health Care to Their Players When They’re Making Billions?

‘They only made $14 billion last year’

RUSH EXCERPT:
NOAH: "Okay, fine, it's not realistic to just get rid of American football but the NFL should at least take better care of their players. NFL players only get health insurance for five years after their career ends. Why can't the league guarantee its players lifetime health care?"
WOOD JR: "Where is the N.F.L. supposed to get that kind of money? They only made $14 billion last year. We've got to think of realistic solutions, like fixing the helmets."
