Jeff Flake: I’m Glad the President Was in Arizona, We Need a Secure Border

‘We in Arizona have been working to get a secure border for years, and it’s great to have the president go down and see the actual conditions on the border’

EXCERPT:

FLAKE: "Well, thanks a lot. I was glad that the president came to Arizona, in particular his visit down to Yuma on the border. We in Arizona have been working to get a secure border for years, and it’s great to have the president go down and see the actual conditions on the border. I think when he was there, he talked about what kind of barriers they have and what they’re moving toward, and actually in most places along the border, where we’ve had what could be considered a wall, they’ve been removing that and been putting in fencing, because you need to see what’s going on on the other side. So, I was glad the president was there. We need a secure border, and we -- we look forward to working with him on that."
