Rove: If Bannon Thought Interview Was Off the Record, ‘It’s Even More Disturbing’

‘He felt as a senior White House staffer, he could leak that kind of information to somebody on the outside’

EXCERPT:

ROVE: “Well, hard to say. If this — if he thought that this was off the record, that’s in many ways a more disturbing. He calls up a left-wing journalist and says that the president is wrong on Korea, I am the guy who is leading the fight on China, I am at war with colleagues inside the White House, I am going to dispose of some of my enemies. These — these — these racist and suprem — white supremacists are clowns, I’d be a little bit more harsh. And you know, I have got my opponents wetting themselves. I mean this is — if this really — if he really thought this was off the record, then — and he thought he was going to be under the cone of silence, so to speak it, it is even more disturbing that he is sharing this with a left-wing journalist who I mean, knows nothing about it apparently and has no previous relationship with, he felt as a senior White House staffer, he could — he could leak that kind of information to somebody on the outside.”
