Ben Cardin: Charlottesville Was a ‘Missed Opportunity’ for Trump

CARDIN: "Well, there’s no question it was a missed opportunity by the president. And his reactions have been I think very problematic at many times. The things that he does not say or the things he leads off the table -- look, the president of the United States needs to be very, very clear about how we will not tolerate white supremacists or the KKK or -- or neo-Nazis. These are hate groups and he’s got to be clear about that. And yes, now if he changes, that’s fine. At least he’s made it clear. But it was a missed opportunity and we see this happening way to often with President Trump."
