Goldberg on Google Firing: ‘Certain Stereotypes Are Unacceptable’ and Others ‘Are More than Acceptable’

‘You have a diversity meeting presumably this is one of the rare kinds of diversity that they care about, which is diversity of opinion’

EXCERPT:

GOLDBERG: "Bill, there's one thing we know for sure. If he had written that 10-page document and said women make better employees in Silicon Valley because they’re more congenial, more collaborative, they listen to other better than men, he would have never been fired. He might have gotten a promotion. They might have made a bronze statue and put it on the campus of Google. But he would have never gotten fired. Because certain stereotypes are unacceptable and other stereotypes are more than acceptable."
