‘Sharknado’ Creator: Climate Change Could Make Sharknadoes Real
HALL: “Take me through this process of, I jokingly said, are there a lot of brownies passed around when writing something like this. How does someone create something as original as this?”
LEVIN: “You know we just felt it was time that the world was alerted to the perils of global warming and bio media-ology, so just the matter of doing our research and getting the facts out to everybody.”
HALL: “Look at, this can happen.”
LEVIN: “Absolutely it could happen.”
HALL: “So when you saw the first finished product, I mean, was that something where you, I guess, guys sometimes beat their chests and being proud of something they accomplished. What did you think when you saw the final version of the first one?”
LEVIN: “First movie?”
HALL: “Yeah first movie, because I know you love the second. The first, imagine there’s some insecurity, you see then it’s done and it’s has wow moment.”
LEVIN: “Sure, it was an incredible night. The first movie, Anthony [indecipherable] the director changed quite a bit in the first 20 minutes or so from our script. So I was watching going, oh, that’s interesting. But then he got back to more of what I had written. And it was just a wild ride and seen the way everybody it took to. It just was so thrilling.”
HALL: “OK, so what’s next?”
