Ruhle: If My Children Behaved Like Trump, They Would Be Grounded

‘It is grossly unethical, defamation, slander’

MSNBC Anchor: If My Children Behaved Like Trump, They Would Be Grounded (The Washington Free Beacon)

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle said Tuesday that if her children behaved like President Donald Trump, they would be grounded.

Ruhle and co-host Ali Velshi were discussing Trump's public comments against Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Recent reports detail tension between Trump and Sessions because the president is upset that Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation. On Tuesday morning, Trump sent out two tweets criticizing his attorney general.

Ruhle called Trump's treatment of Sessions "grossly unethical" and slander and labeled Trump as a bully.

"It is grossly unethical, defamation, slander. I will say to those going Jeff Sessions is cowering and doing nothing, you could argue he has the best response to an absolute bully: when a bully comes after you, staring him down and continuing to forge ahead, that gets under the president's skin," Ruhle said. "It appears thus far Jeff Sessions ain't budging and these tweets do not reflect poorly on Jeff Sessions but on Trump."
