McFaul: Pompeo’s Answer on Russian Meddling Was a ‘Flippant Answer for a Serious Situation’

McFAUL: "I thought that was a very flippant answer for a very serious situation. I worked in the government for five years, I don’t recall reading an intelligence report about Russian interference in those previous elections. Maybe he should clarify what he meant by that. There may be something on his mind, but to somehow suggest that what happened in 2016 is just standard operating procedure is flatly incorrect and I think he is just trying to undermine the seriousness which we should be devoting to figuring out exactly what happened in 2016."
