Chris Murphy: Health Care Bill Not Only a ‘Moral Monstrosity’ But Also an ‘Intellectual Trainwreck’
MURPHY: "It would be a fairly sizable admission of guilt if he did that and opened up a process after he swore he didn’t need it. But the public hearing process is not just for show. It actually is a means to get real feedback from professionals and experts. And I think part of the hesitancy of a lot of Republicans, and I put Jerry Moran in the category to support this bill, this wasn’t just a moral monstrosity, it was an intellectual trainwreck. It may be the only way for them to have an open process in which they solicit feedback of people who know what they’re doing.
