MSNBC Guest Has Weird Reaction to Trump and Macron Shaking Hands: ‘Lord Help Us’

‘I don’t see how they have much in common’

MSNBC Guest Has Weird Reaction to Trump and Macron Shaking Hands: ‘Lord Help Us’ (The Washington Free Beacon)

MSNBC guest and Vanity Fair correspondent William Cohan had a strangely dramatic reaction to a typical greeting ceremony between heads of state on Thursday, saying, "Lord help us" after watching Presidents Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron shake hands in Paris.

Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were greeted by Macron and French First Lady Brigitte Macron, and the foursome posed for photographs and appeared to exchange pleasantries. Trump is in Paris on Macron's invitation for France's Bastille Day celebrations.

After MSNBC aired the footage without commentary, host Stephanie Ruhle asked Cohan for his reaction.
