Byron York: ‘Good Thing’ Trump Jr. Has a Lawyer, ‘Because This Is the Most Serious Accusation’ So Far

‘The reason it is the most serious is because, it goes to the question that is at the heart of the Trump-Russian matter’

EXCERPT:

YORK: "It doesn’t sound like that momentous meeting — it doesn’t sound like a critical meeting in the course of the campaign, but it is a good thing that Trump, Jr. has gotten a lawyer, because this is the most serious accusation we have heard so far. The reason it is the most serious is because it goes to the question that is at the heart of the Trump-Russia matter, which is, did Donald Trump or his associates collude with the Russians to try to influence the 2016 election? Up to now, remember, we've had a lot of people who knew a lot about this investigation, like Richard Burr, the Republican chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and Charles Grassley and Dianne Feinstein, the chairman and top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee. They say they have been told there was no evidence of collusion. So the question is, did they know about this? Is this something really new, and did it actually matter?"
