N.M. Sec. of State: Trump’s Voter Info Request a ‘Witch Hunt,’ ‘Fishing Expedition’

‘I am very concerned about that’

EXCERPT:

OLIVER: “Well, the truth ,Allison, is I have a lot of questions about this. First and foremost, my job as secretary of state of New Mexico is to protect the privacy and the integrity of the voter process here in New Mexico. My main concern, number one, is to ensure that my voters' information is protected. But I have a lot of questions. It’s not really clear what this data is going to be used for. It seems to maybe be a fishing expedition or a witch hunt of some kind and I am very concerned about that."
