How do we bask in the glow of fireworks illuminating the statue of liberty when our president rejects her welcome to the huddled masses yearning to breathe free. How do we honor the self-evident truths about Americans’ right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when the Congress is controlled mostly by men pulling out all the stops to force through a policy put the lives of 22 million fellow Americans in jeopardy by taking away their health care. “When a long train of abuses and usurpations pursuing invariably the same object econvinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty to throw off such government.” Now it leads not to the throne of a king but to the door of the White House, how do we do our duty as modern day patriots and respond
