Kinzinger: Obama Talked About Afghanistan Once, Otherwise He ‘Ignored’ and ‘Avoided It’

‘We have to put the clear mission out there’

EXCERPT:

KINZINGER: "But either we will fight them there or they will fight us here. There’s no in-between and there's no other choice. So I think the American people are ready for that but we finally have a commander-in-chief who can make that statement. Keep in mind, for eight years, I can’t even remember one, maybe one time I heard President Obama talk about the need to be in Afghanistan. Otherwise he ignored it and avoided it. Now, to have that clear leadership is the right thing. I believe in the strategy they will put forward, but it will take time and patience and probably, frankly, whether it's Afghanistan or the war on terror, the rest of my life."
