Katie Pavlich: GOP Congress Needs Health Care Bill More than Trump

‘President Trump campaigned on repealing ObamaCare, but he only campaigned once’

EXCERPT:

HEMMER: "You make the case that Congress needs this more than the President. How come?"
PAVLICH: “President Trump campaigned on repealing ObamaCare, but he only campaigned once. Republicans have been campaigning in election after election about how they are going to repeal ObamaCare. I think it is important to point out that the Senate version of the bill that we are going to see in just a few hours isn’t going to be a full repeal of ObamaCare, the House bill was not a full repeal of ObamaCare, and even the House Freedom Caucus, the most conservative caucus in the House admitted as much. It will probably keep many of the popular parts of ObamaCare, despite them being very few, preexisting conditions for example, keeping your children on your insurance until you’re 26, but also the plan is probably going to have things like repealing the medical device tax, which is something that Republicans and Democrats can both get on board with.”
