Van Hollen: ‘Republicans Should Not Take Any Comfort’ from Special Election Sweep

‘Obviously it would have been good to win those elections, but Republicans should not take any comfort from the results’

EXCERPT:

VAN HOLLEN: "Well, Stephanie, first let’s put those elections in context. Obviously it would have been good to win those elections, but Republicans should not take any comfort from the results, either in Georgia or in south Carolina, right, because Tom Price, who was the previous House member representing that district won in his most recent election by 23 points. Here -- here we’ve got Jon Ossoff losing by 3.8. And in South Carolina, the former Congressman, Mick Mulvaney won by 21 points and the Democrat last night lost by only 3 points."
