Brian Kilmeade Blasts Shakespeare Protestors: ‘I Don’t Think You Should Be Rushing the Stage, Period’ (Mediaite)

What got into Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade on Monday?

After pushing back against Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow earlier in the show by criticizing Sekulow’s unwillingness to try to curb the President’s Twitter habit, Kilmeade blasted protestors who disrupted performances of Julius Caesar in New York’s Central Park over the weekend.

“Let the play go on,” Kilmeade said. “I don’t think you should be rushing the stage, period, whether you agree or not.”

The play has come under fire from many on the right for its depiction of President Donald Trump as Caesar, which includes a graphic assassination scene. Colleague Ainsley Earhardtdisagreed with Kilmeade.

“Why don’t we just make Shakespeare, Shakespeare?” Earhardt said. “Why do we have to make it political?”
