Scarborough: It’s ‘Fiction, Fiction, Fiction’ that Rand Paul Will Be the 2016 Nominee

Scarborough: ‘Fiction’ that Rand Paul Will Be 2016 Nominee (Washington Free Beacon)

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough declared it was “fiction” that Sen. Rand Paul (R., Ky.) would capture the 2016 Republican presidential nomination Monday on Morning Joe.

During a “Fact or Fiction” segment where co-host Mika Brzezinski read out potential political scenarios for the table to debate, Scarborough said Paul would wind up his “father’s son” in a bid for the presidency, referring to the libertarian former Rep. Ron Paul (R., Texas) who ran unsuccessfully for the nomination in 2008 and 2012.

“Fiction, fiction, fiction,” Scarborough said. “He’s going to do well in Iowa. He’s going to do well in New Hampshire. He may do pretty well in South Carolina. It’ll turn to the Midwest and he will be his father’s son.”
