Willie Geist: Trump Can’t Claim Yesterday Was a Win When He Was Called a Liar

‘ you had a former FBI director sitting in an open hearing in the United States Senate yesterday calling the president of the United States a liar’

SCARBOROUGH: “Is this a political win for Donald Trump, Willie?”
GEIST: “I don’t think so. What he got yesterday and what he can say, and when he says 'vindication' it's not vindication, is that there was no evidence of collusion presented in this hearing. Jim Comey did not go as far as saying he colluded with the Russians.”
BRZEZINSKI: “He was called a liar.”
GEIST: “But that is interesting. I mean, the fact that we take that for granted now this morning, but you had a former FBI director sitting in an open hearing in the United States Senate yesterday calling the President of the United States a liar. This was all set off — he took the memos. 'Why did you start writing these memos that eventually led to the tweet and the special prosecutor and all that?' He took them because he was concerned the President of the United States might lie about their meetings because they were in a one-on-one setting.”
