When President Obama gets outside and tries to meet real people, the White House likes to say that "the bear is loose" — and such was the case Tuesday in Denver.

During a night out in the Mile High City, Obama munched pizza with supporters, greeted residents on a downtown street, and shot some pool.

First came a stop at a popular spot called the Wazee Supper Club, where Obama shared pizza with five people who wrote him letters.

The president also roamed the restaurant greeting patrons, at one point complimenting a bartender's multi-hued facial hair by saying, "that's a cool 'stache.
