Maxine Waters: Devin Nunes Is ‘Crazy’

WATERS: "Well, I’m not so sure I see it that way. As you know, with Comey it'd just gotten so controversial. You know, after he started the investigation, the second investigation, on Hillary Clinton, so many of us was just disappointed and did not know why he did that. And now there’s a question of whether or not there were fake documents that he had in his possession. And then when he was fired, we thought, oh, this is a terrible thing. He shouldn’t be fired by the president in the middle of this investigation. And, so, all of us really wanted an independent commission to be in charge of this investigation. We haven’t been able to get that. So, we are placing a lot of hopes in Mueller. And we’re also still placing some hopes in the Senate Intelligence Committee. I’ve given up absolutely on the House Intelligence Committee. Nunes is crazy. He doesn’t make good sense. Just as he ran up to the White House in the middle of the night trying to protect the president, when the president told a lie about being under surveillance and wiretapped by the president. Now, he’s issuing subpoenas, without the cooperation of the Democrats. He’s supposed to have recused himself. He has no business involved in this. I think that whole committee should be disbanded."
