Pelosi: Liberals Only Voted to Fund Military so They Could Repeal “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” (NTK Network)

The House minority leader admitted that liberals would have never voted to fund the military, but did so to repeal “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told an LGBT rights group on Friday that liberal members of the House only voted to fund the military so that they could repeal the policy of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’

“Don’t tell anybody I told you this,” Pelosi said, before launching into the anecdote.

Pelosi explained that Democrats did not have the votes from Republican members to pass the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which funded the military and included a repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
