‘Yeah, I Don’t Agree With That’: Paul Ryan Doesn’t Believe James Comey’s a ‘Nut Job’ (Mediaite)

One of last week’s bombshell reports surrounding President Donald Trump and his administration involved the president telling Russian officials that former FBI Director James Comey was a “nut job” and his recent firing took pressure off the Russia investigation.

During a conversation with Axios’ Mike Allen earlier today, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was asked if was concerned about Trump’s description of Comey.

“Yeah, I don’t agree with that,” Ryan responded. “And he’s not.” When further pressed on his thoughts on reports that Trump asked Comey to halt the investigation into Michael Flynn, Ryan said he wasn’t going to do the “armchair quarterback thing” and prejudge anything.
