Montage: ‘Despite Hobby Lobby Setback, Progressives Keep Things in Perspective’

Grabien takes a look at just some of the overwrought media and political reaction to the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of Hobby Lobby

Yesterday, as media watchers know, the Supreme Court ruled that women are heretofore required to adopt the religious beliefs of their employers, further stating that the "long hand of government" is constitutionally entitled to "reach into a woman's body and make health-care choices for her." The Court's opinion drew on historical precedent, such as segregationists and Apartheid advocates who defended their beliefs as extensions of their religious views, as well as slave owners who sought protection under the First Amendment.

In a separate concurrence, the male-dominated Court conceded to having "entered into a war on women," with the aim of "limit[ing] women's access to health care."

Well, that's what you might believe if you had tuned into TV yesterday for post-Hobby Lobby analysis.

The lack of perspective was ... montage-worthy.

Enjoy.
