‘Presidents Get To Say What They Want’: Jeffrey Lord Defends Trump Calling Comey a ‘Nut Job’ (Mediaite)

On Monday’s CNN Newsroom, pro-Trump pundit Jeffrey Lord predictably defended the President’s reported “nut job” insult of former FBI Director James Comey.

“Look, he’s the President of the United States,” Lord emphasized. “Presidents get to say what they want in the Oval Office — good, bad, or indifferent.”

Anchor Poppy Harlow sparred with the CNN commentator over the remarks, which President Trump apparently made in the presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. She interrupted Lord as he continued his answer and wondered, “So you’re fine with it, Jeffrey Lord? Jeffrey Lord, you’re completely fine with it?”
