Andrea Mitchell: The Oval Office Meeting with the Russians Is ‘Trailing’ Trump Abroa

‘This has been sober mission to Riyadh and I assume Israel as well’

EXCERPT:

MITCHELL: "Well, Rex Tillerson just now on Air Force One flying from Riyadh to Tel Aviv, a historic visit in that no military or commercial flight has ever taken place from Riyadh to Tel Aviv before was questioned about the Lavrov meeting. He was in the Oval Office. It is trailing them here. It’s inescapable. Yes, there’s a lot of red carpets, and there are conversations brief as they are, because the fact that Middle East peace can be negotiated in a 15 or 20-minute conversation between two leaders is laughable. But the fact is this stuff does follow them here. Tillerson was asked about the Israeli concern. I’ve been here talking to people. There’s tremendous concern about these Israeli intelligence breaches in the Oval Office to the Russians no less who are in league with Iran, Israel’s historic enemy. Despite all of that discomfort, he said, 'I don’t know we have anything to apologize for,’ when asked if there would be an apology."
