In a new Lean Forward ad, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews insists that America’s founding represents our “founding principles” which include among others “equal pay and marriage equality.” 

Matthews ventured to Philadelphia where he proclaimed “Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. Unalienable rights that can never be taken away, the founding principles of our country, never to be amended. No, it was the country that needed to be amended.”
