Ted Cruz: Tea Partier’s Narrow Defeat Shows Voters ‘Hungry for Change’ (Mediaite)

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) told the Fox & Friends crew Wednesday morning that tea partier Chris McDaniel’s narrow defeat in the Mississippi GOP Senate primary runoff last night showed voters were “hungry for change.”

Cruz had stayed out of what turned out to be a vicious battle between McDaniel and Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS), but had endorsed a tea party candidate in the Oklahoma primary who lost decisively. Meanwhile, many observers credit at least some of Cochran’s win to Democratic voters who crossed over in the open primary.
