NBC’s Welker: AHCA Is Not DOA in the Senate But Preexisting Portion of the Bill May Be DOA

WELKER: "That’s right. You asked the question, is this bill DOA in the Senate? I’m told it’s not, but again the pre-existing condition portion of it may be DOA. They think the politics of it are very difficult. They think it’s practically difficult. You hear them look say we’re not under a deadline, but the reality is there’s a deadline, because come September they have to deal with the spending bill and deal with the debt ceiling. I’m told if they don’t get something done by July or August it will get much more difficult."
