MNUCHIN: "Again, I've had the opportunity to work with the president on these economic policies for the last year. And tax reform is right up there, is one of the most important issues for him. Our principles for tax reform is on personal side simplify the personal tax system, it's way too complicated. We'd like most Americans to be able to file their personal taxes on what I call a large postcard, and should be relatively simple to do. We also want to provide a middle-income tax cut. On the business side we have one with of the highest business tax rates, there is, we have a system of taxing on worldwide income, we have a system of deferral. It's not a surprise that our companies have left trillions of dollars offshore. So, our objective is to create a competitive system bring that money back onshore, where it will be invested, to purchase capital and create jobs."
