Karl Rove Mocks Fox’s Bolling for Having a Soft Spot for Putin: ‘A Fond Place in Your Heart’ (Mediaite)

The second episode of the new 5 pm show on Fox News, The Fox News Specialists, is already producing some tense exchanges between the panelists.

Tuesday, host Eric Bolling mixed it up with Fox contributor Karl Rove over President Donald Trump‘s phone call with Vladimir Putin. Rove called for Trump to be firm with Putin. Bolling accused Rove of flip-flopping on the subject.

“You know, Karl, the guy can’t do anything right, Trump,” Bolling said. He added, “I think this is a great step.”

Rove said he was glad that the phone call took place, but called for Bolling to not expect much from one phone call. Bolling responded by saying one dinner with President Xi Jinping of China appears to have helped that relationship.

And then Rove fired at Bolling:

“Putin, whom I guess you have a fond place in your heart about…”
