GOP Rep. Jim Renacci: If We Don’t Get Our Tax Rates Down, ‘Businesses Will Leave’

‘We have to make the United States the most competitive place in the world to do business’

EXCERPT:

RANACCI: "Here is what I believe. Not only am I’m on the Budget Committee, I’m on the Ways and Means Committee and I’m a businessman for 30 years. If we don’t get our rates down, businesses will leave. So the number one goal we have to do is be competitive. We have to make the United States the most competitive place in the world to do business. By doing that as a businessman you drop your price down, you drop your rate down and you get businesses to want to come here. When businesses come here they employ more people. So I guess the argument would be, well, if you drop the tax rates, are you going to increase the deficits? That’s the other side of it."
