Mike Bloomberg Boasts of Closing ‘Half of the Coal-Fired Power Plants’ in America

BLOOMBERG: “One of the things was we closed a whole bunch of coal-fired power plants. Bloomberg Philanthropies funded the Sierra Club, who got people in the neighborhoods of coal-fired power plants to say, 'We don’t want to breathe the stuff you’re putting out,' and frac natural gas made the economics of switching from coal to natural gas very attractive. And over half of the coal-fired power plants have been closed in the last two years.”
